The Stadia Precinct Consortium team and our key stakeholders head into the festive season awaiting feedback from the Tasmanian Government on our Unsolicited bid for MAC2.0.

As requested by Mr Jeremy Rockcliffe, Tasmanian Premier, in June 2024, The Stadia Precinct Consortium (SPC) team submitted details of The Stadia Precinct Urban Renewal Precinct, MAC2.0, the stadium alternative to the Macquarie Point Development Corporation (MPCD) 1.0.

The MAC2.0 submission is currently with the Tasmanian Department of State Growth which has formed a panel to assess the unsolicited bid on its merits. The submission included a full and transparent view of the Stadia Precincts Urban Renewal Precinct Plans inclusive of a 23,000-seat roofed stadium, costings, timelines and details of the consortium's financial partner, Capella Capital who have committed to the project.

We understand the Department of State Growth Panel has commenced its assessment and will present its findings to the Tasmanian Parliament when it is complete.
We are heading into the new year, ready to meet with the Panel and provide any further information that is required; as yet, we have not been requested to do so.

Follow our Stadia Precinct Advent Calendar leading into Christmas. Each day, we highlight details of the MAC2.0 Stadia Precinct Urban Renewal Project and its benefits for the people of Tasmania.
